Business & Science Poland among the initiators of the “Pact for Polish Industry”
Polish industry has never faced challenges on such a scale. The transition towards a climate-neutral economy, the influx of EU support and new regulatory frameworks can serve as a stimulus for modernization and growth, but only if effective national measures are launched to strengthen enterprises, coordinated with initiatives at the European Union level.
Companies operating in Poland need a coherent industrial strategy that will allow them to make informed, long-term investment decisions. They also expect stable and predictable regulations that encourage investment, as well as dedicated financial support throughout the transition process.
This is why Business & Science Poland, which has been representing Polish companies in Brussels for years, has become one of the initiators of the Pact for Polish Industry. A list of proposals prepared by the industrial community, comprising nearly 30 Polish entities, was submitted to the Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domański. The full text of the letter is available HERE.
The Pact contains seven key proposals, including the introduction of regulations to reduce energy costs (currently among the highest in the EU, despite the rapid increase in the share of renewables in the national energy mix) and the provision of effective financing for decarbonization investments.
The initiators emphasize that the letter submitted to the minister marks the beginning of building a broad agreement aimed at developing a coherent strategy for the entire industrial sector.
