We are pleased to unveil Business & Science Poland’s official position paper on the (European Commission - profil) proposal of the Multiannual Financial Framework for the years 2028-2034, developed in cooperation with our Members.
The position is a reflection of the postulates of Polish businesses employing over 260 000 people, encapsulated over 5 chapters which address budgetary governance, the Own Resources system, energy, industry, transport and security needs, as well as EU health policy.
BSP opts for an EU budget that:
- Strengthens competitiveness, not bureaucracy;
- Protects Europe’s security and health resilience;
- Invests coherently across regions and sectors;
- Keeps Polish and European businesses at the heart of the Union’s transformation.
The next budget will chart EU’s actions over the next 7 years’ financial horizon. It is therefore hugely important that the budget addresses the most pressing industrial and developmental needs in an agile and geographically coherent manner, yet without becoming a centralizing and fiscal competence vanquishing tool.
We stand ready to work with EU institutions on building a budget which delivers on its potential for businesses and society.
