This first discussion in the Innovation Roundtable series will bring together experts from the EU institutions and the digital sector to address the current challenges stemming from the existing EU digital regulatory framework and debate a vision for a simplified legal order that fully unlocks the region’s innovation potential. Together, we will also address the importance of strategic alliances, particularly transatlantic partnerships in science, research and technology, which remain a key driver of CEE’s growth and the way these partnerships can empower the region and the entire EU to become a global leader in innovation.

Key topics will include:

• Perspective of CEE countries on the Digital Omnibus proposal. Expectations and hopes for simplifying and aligning EU rules in the digital sphere
• The CEE vision for regulatory simplification as a driver of growth and resilience
