WNP.PL: Business & Science Poland, the largest Polish business organization in Brussels, joined forces with the European Commission Representation and the European Parliament Liaison Office in Warsaw to host a conference on Friday titled "The 2028–2034 EU Budget: Shaping a Financial Framework that Works for the Polish Economy." The event brought together representatives of the Polish business community to discuss the future of the EU's long-term budget.
According to Witold Strzelecki, Managing Director of Business & Science Poland, the debate on the next EU budget has so far centred primarily on the size of Poland's national allocation under the next seven-year financial framework and the future governance of the Cohesion Fund.
Strzelecki argued that this is too narrow a perspective. In his view, the next EU budget should be seen not only through the lens of how much funding Poland receives, but also as a major opportunity for Polish businesses to compete for EU-funded projects and strengthen their position across the Single Market.
"We want Polish businesses to look at the EU budget from a broader perspective," Strzelecki said.
