Witold Strzelecki, Managing Director of Business & Science Poland (BSP), an organization representing Polish businesses in Brussels, pointed out in an interview with Business Insider Polska that, as of 1 July, the European Union has introduced a regulation aimed at protecting the steel industry from the adverse effects of global excess production capacity. He described the measure as a step in the right direction.
"However, it is still only a drop in the ocean compared to the needs of European industry, including Polish industry, which is currently facing existential challenges. Polish companies, including those operating in strategic sectors, need far more concrete measures that will enable them to respond effectively to these challenges," he said.
